With effect from Saturday 5 April 2008 to comply with Government guidelines the Practice will be opening on Saturday mornings from 7.45 am until 12 noon. The main idea of this is so that patients who find it difficult to attend the surgery during the week have the opportunity to see a Doctor.
These appointments will be pre-booked appointments which can be booked two weeks in advance. If you do book an appointment for a Saturday please be advised that if you are unable to attend you will need to phone on Friday afternoon as we will not be contactable by phone.
Patients arriving more than 10 minutes late will be asked to rebook.
They are not for emergencies, these will still be dealt with by Out of Hours on 01322 223361.
It will not be possible to deal with phone queries, there will be no nurses or chaperones and we will be unable to deal with prescription requests.
There will be a Receptionist on duty but her role will purely be to mark patients in, prescriptions will be locked away. If you have not got an appointment you will be turned away and advised to telephone Out of Hours.
As well as Saturday mornings we are now also offering early appointments on a Friday morning with Dr King, there will however be some Saturday mornings when appointments will not be available. A notice will be put up at reception giving the next date when a clinic willnot be held.
There will be no clinic on Saturday 1 November 2008
We hope that we will have your continued support.
